MELISSA A. KEDDINGTON
mkeddington@boyceschaefferlaw.com

Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in biology from San Diego State University, graduating magna cum laude. She then traveled across the country to attend law school at the University of Michigan. During law school, she volunteered for the Family Law Project, where she obtained personal protective orders for battered and abused women and their children.

After graduating from law school, Melissa returned to California to work for a civil litigation law firm. While there she managed the firm’s pharmaceutical litigation department. This experience rekindled Melissa’s interest in science, motivating her to temporarily leave the practice of law in order to earn her second bachelor’s degree, this time in nursing, from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. While in nursing school, Melissa was recognized by her faculty and peers in receiving the Professional Nurse Award.

After graduating from nursing school with honors, Melissa became a Registered Nurse and practiced in the areas of emergency medicine and women’s care (including antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum and nursery.) Melissa returned to her law career and is utilizing her medical knowledge in her representation of healthcare professionals.

During her leisure time, Melissa enjoys hiking, skiing and bocce ball. When football season begins, her Saturdays are spent watching the Michigan Wolverines.
